Tip: Always measure the pH of your buffer as an AQUEOUS solution and then add organic solvent. Mixed aqueous-solvent mixtures give incorrect pH readings.

Caution: Mixing aqueous buffer solutions with organic solvents may cause precipitation, especially with phosphate and borate buffers. Check your solutions before using on your HPLC system or damage may result.
